There are Web Practices that are unacceptable in sites hosted by Games Inferno, and will result in your webspace being deleted should we discover their use on your sites. A complete list of these is given below. Please ensure that you read the following carefully.
1. Games Inferno may run advertisements on its Hosted Web Space. By submitting a request to our offer of Web Space hosting, you agree that Games Inferno will run such advertisements and grant Games Inferno the right to do so. These advertisements may include, but are not limited to, "banner" advertisements and "pop-up text" advertisements. The manner, mode, and extent of advertising by Games Inferno on the Hosted Web Space is at Games Inferno’s discretion and is subject to change. These adverts may not be removed, resized so as to render invisible, unreadable or blocked by any kind of software.
2. You may not use your web space for providing material or links to material that in Games Inferno’s view is grossly offensive to the Web community. This includes the following:
Blatant expressions of bigotry, racism, hatred, or profanity
Promoting or providing instructional information about illegal activities, such as instructions regarding weapons, promoting "spam" emails, computer viruses or material infringing intellectual property rights of third parties.
Promoting physical harm or injury against any group or individual.
Material that exploits the images of children under 18 years of age, or that discloses personal identifying information belonging to children under 18 years of age.
Material that includes sexual content or nudity, does not adhere to standards for material suitable for public display and has no literary, artistic, political, educational, or scientific value.
3. You may not make any use of copyrighted, trademarked, patented or servicemarked material without the express permission of the author or owner, the commission of any acts of copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret or other intellectual property infringement, or contributing to, inducing, or facilitating such infringement. This prohibition shall include, without limitation, the following forms of software piracy:
Making available copyrighted software which has been "cracked", for example, the copyright protection has been removed from the software;
Making available serial numbers for software that can be used to illegally validate or register software;
Making available tools that can be used for no purpose other than for "cracking" software (this does not include tools that have legitimate uses for software developers, system administrators, etc.);
Making available any software files for which the user does not own the copyright or have the legal right to make available.
4. You may not set up a 'Gateway' site on the Games Inferno Web server. A gateway site is one that only provides an entrance to the actual site located somewhere else.
5. You must not use your web space for 'data warehousing' - using our space as storage for large files which are only linked from other sites. You must provide a reasonable amount of content to accompany such material.
Additionally we ask that your website should be active, in that it is either being updated/posted to on a regular basis or receiving ‘hits’. Sites that are not receiving hits or being updated within a 60 day period will be considered ‘inactive’, and if they remain so for an extended period of time they may be removed to make room for other users.
