If you haven't played a text based adventure then you're
in for a shock, these games can be very addictive and very
entertaining. The advantage with text based adventures is
that your imagination plays a key part in the way the adventure
looks. The descriptions of the rooms describe the scene but
your mind actually creates the image. One further step from
a text adventure is a multi-user dungeon or mud where you
can experience other on0line players just like yourself. A
further advantage of MUD's is that other players could help
or hinder you making the adventure unpredictable.
The current adventure running is a base adventure from the
Realms of Despair, the actual MUDInferno adventure is currently
under construction and will be arriving early this year.
To get started, just use any telnet client. See the downloads
page for a list of specially developed MUD clients and reviews
of each. The IP address of the server is 212.114.37.39 and
the port is 4000. If you want to use your default telnet client
